Former This Morning host Eamonn Holmes has broken his silence on Hollywood actress Kate Beckinsale’s racy New Year’s Eve tribute to him.
Eamonn Holmes has responded to Kate Beckinsale’s bizarre and racy New Year’s Eve tribute to him. The Hollywood actress shared a snap of herself in view of her 5.6 million Instagram followers, with her eyes closed cheekily licking a mask of his face as she celebrated the start of 2024.
Kate, 50, was ringing in the new year with her mother and a pal, who wore a cardboard mask of the former This Morning host throughout the night.
In the caption, she wrote: “We were surprised to say the least when @eamonnholmes turned up to our house on New Year’s Eve and we handled it with grace.
“However my mother was disappointed that his cough and his Nike slides prevented him from doing an adequately festive riverdance which we thought was the least he could do as an unexpected guest. Happy new year, from us, and Eamonn, and his cough.”(sic)
The actress kept it casual for the occasion by wearing ripped jeans and a pink T-shirt bearing the word “hedonism”. She paired the look with a matching pink bow in her hair – which she recently changed to a stylish shoulder-length blonde bob – and a diamond crucifix necklace.
A video of the trio dancing revealed she was also wearing chunky white boots with huge platform heels.
Eamonn soon reacted on his own Instagram page by resharing the photo and joking: “Looks like the secret is out about @katebeckinsale and me, but I can’t deny it was a great NYE Party! Well at least my 2024 got off to a great start.”
In his comment section, fans shared their thoughts about the actress’ tribute. “Was Ruth spending time bringing in the new year with Mr Clooney then?” asked one follower referring to Eamonn’s presenter wife, Ruth Langsford
“In your Dreams Eamon. Happy New to u and Ruthie,”(sic) wrote another. While actress Mika Simmons commented: “I cannot believe you declined my invite in favour of Kate. It’s over between us Eamonn….”
This isn’t the first time Kate has shown her fondness for the GB News presenter.
She previously revealed his face was on top of her Christmas tree and also photoshopped his face onto a female friend another year.
