Miranda Lambert made some of her fans wonder whether the Texas native ever got plastic surgery following her 2015 divorce from ex-husband Blake Shelton. However, the speculation had already started long before then.
After her dramatic 45-pound weight loss in 2013, the Academy of Country Music Award winner was bombarded with claims of liposuction. Upon noticing the rumors, the singer was quick to combat the allegations. In a since-deleted letter posted to her website, the country singer set the record straight.
“Though I NEVER care what the tabloids have to say about me, I wanted to address this certain story they are running this week and set the record straight,” she wrote that year. “I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight. That is ridiculous.”
She continued, “I lost my weight the healthy and good old fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer, Bill Crutchfield. As for the assumed number of pounds lost …? I don’t even know! Like I have always said, it’s not about a scale, it’s about how you feel and how your jeans fit.”
Despite her denial, fans still speculated over Miranda’s slimmer face, as well as her more defined nose.Plastic surgery claims aside, Miranda just hopes to be a body positive role model for her fans. “I am proud to be a normal size girl and I want to encourage everyone to be confident at any size,” she concluded in her 2013 website post. The “House That Built Me” singer later opened up to Health magazine about weight fluctuations.
