Carly Pearce reveals what Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are really like away from the spotlight

Back to the Honky Tonk was really an extravaganza, Gwen Stefani and Carly Pearce commanded the stage during Sunday night’s CMT Music Awards with their rendition of No Doubt’s “Just a Girl.”

Having built a relationship with Gwen and her husband Blake Shelton over the past year, the country star has nothing but praise for them.Speaking with ET on the CMTs red carpet, she gushed about her bond with Gwen ahead of their performance, stating: “I love her!”

Carly was one of the opening acts on Blake’s nationwide Back to the Honky Tonk Tour alongside singer-songwriter Jackson Dean, with the tour running from February 16 to March 25.

Gwen frequently joined her husband on his tour, supporting him from backstage while taking to social media to show off her own spectacularly themed fits.

“I’ve gotten to know her pretty well being on tour with Blake and she just is a true fan of songwriting, just like me,” Carly continued.

Speaking of their upcoming performance, the 32-year-old songstress added: “Just to be able to come together and have a real moment with somebody that you’ve gotten to know – it’s not just a collaboration out of nowhere – it’s going to be fun.”

The former No Doubt lead has embedded herself in the country music scene thanks to her 2021 marriage to Blake, with the two even having collabbed on country-leaning projects together.

While Blake opened the show with a dynamite performance of his single “No Body,” Gwen went a more classic rock route with “Just a Girl,” with Carly joining her midway.

For her debut CMTs appearance, Gwen kept it bright and fresh with her Versace dress, featuring red polka dots, a bodice to match, and a bustle skirt.

The 53-year-old teamed her funky fit with a pair of coordinating white and red polka dot gloves and black fishnet tights, finishing off the cool look with a pair of killer black platform heels, also by Versace.
