Hilary Duff, who is best known for her roles in “Lizzie McGuire,” “Younger,” and “How I Met Your Father,” loves taking her fans along with her on her journey. Whether she posts about her children, her family, travel, or filming, the 34-year-old is an open book.
Just recently, the actress shared a video to her Instagram Story, revealing a glamorous look for filming day.
Duff, 34, shared a video of herself in full makeup, writing “All glammy on set today.” She tagged hair and makeup artist Katy McClinktock and special effects makeup artist Katie Middleton Makeup FX.
Many assume the actress is currently on set and filming “How I Met Your Father,” which Hulu recently announced in a press release that would be coming back for a second season.
Duff plays Sophie, a woman who is searching for the future father of her children in New York City with the help of her friends, Valentina (Francia Raisa), Jesse (Chris Lowell), Sid (Suraj Sharma), Ellen (Tien Tran), and Charlie (Tom Ainsley).
When Hilary Duff first got the call about working on “How I Met Your Father,” she was wrapping up her role as Kelsey Peters in “Younger.”
“I got a call from my manager saying that there was this project that they wanted to chat with me about,” Duff told EW. “Then I heard the title and I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? What?!’” That familiarity made the star nervous, though. “The original show is so, so beloved and was just so spot-on perfect, that I’m like, ‘Ohh, I don’t wanna do reboot.’”
Duff still discussed the show with creators Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, and after some consideration and clarification, Duff was reassured and on board to do the show. “They could literally sell me a bag of dirty laundry,” she said jokingly. “They’re so enthusiastic about what they do and they’re so talented. I was a little bit nervous about the sitcom of it all because I’ve never done multi-cam, but I read the script and it was just everything you want a comedy to be. There were lighthearted moments, but there [were] funny moments and it was a little dirty at times. It was just perfect. I signed on board and was like, ‘Yeah, I need five months — I’m having a baby right now.’”
Earlier this year, the mom of three put herself out there and posed nude for Women’s Health Magazine, something she admits was not easy to do. “Sooooo, this was scary…..,” the “Younger” actress began in an Instagram post sharing the news. “I knew doing this would terrify me and I was right!”
She continued to thank Women’s Health Magazine who “had the most lovely all-women shoot” and “actually had the best time” doing this project. “I felt strong and beautiful and laughed a lot getting into some of these poses without my high waisted mom jeans and oversized whatever I normally wear,” she said.
“Thank you to everyone who normalized this day for me and propped me up with compliments and love,” Duff said.
