Having the right clothes to fit over a continually expanding pregnancy belly is a challenge for all expecting moms. And it turns out that, despite what we can only assume is a decent maternity clothing budget, Jennifer Love Hewitt gave us a “stars-are-just-like-us” moment with a photo in her recent Instagram story.
One of the many pregnant celebrities in 2021, the 9-1-1 actress posted a funny photo to her Instagram story Thursday, joking that her pants kept falling down because of her baby belly. “When the pants keep slipping off the bump!” Hewitt captioned the selfie. In it, the former Ghost Whisperer star is seen with pigtail braids and a white t-shirt pulled up to reveal how her patterned leggings have slid below her bump.
Love Hewitt and her husband, Brian Hallisay, already share son Atticus James, 5½, and daughter Autumn James, 7, and revealed just last month that they are expecting a third child. Well, unexpectedly expecting, as it turns out. “We had always been open to a third, but definitely didn’t think in the crazy year that the entire world was having that it would necessarily be this moment,” Hewitt told PEOPLE when announcing her baby news.
In fact, she only took a pregnancy test to humor her son after he saw a commercial for one and suggested she check to see if there was a baby in her belly. While Hewitt said she loves “the experience” of being pregnant, she revealed that baby No. 3 will likely be her last. “I’m pretty sure. I don’t think I could do another one. I think five is a great number,” she told PEOPLE.
In addition to enjoying flaunting her belly bump, Hewitt is embracing all aspects of another pregnancy, including promoting “Hot Mom Summer” with “stretch marks, bikinis, sunblock and snacks” by re-Graming a post from a fellow mom. The 33-year-old, who plays a single-mother-of-two who finds extra work with a high-end prostitution service, had to film an action scene in a very revealing white halterneck.
Luckily, the camera must have stayed above her calves as she was allowed to ditch her heels to run in comfy, practical looking boots… but with a hidden wedge to give a nice perky, height boost.
On the late night talk show to promote “The Client List,” a new Lifetime series in which she plays a single mom who turns to prostitution to support her children, Kimmel told the 33-year-old actress that a huge billboard for the show — with her cleavage front and center — had been directly outside of his office window. The prankster host then had a staffer carry out a “gift” for the star — a square section of the billboard, which had recently been taken down, featuring just a close-up shot of her breasts.
Ever the good sport, Hewitt, who covered her face with her hand in embarrassment, joked, “Seriously, that looks like a horror movie blown up… They’re like King Kongs or something.”
Extending her arms in an attempt to cover the massive poster, she said, “Let’s just… Let’s not.”
Although she may have blushed a little last night, this morning Hewitt was still laughing at Kimmel’s joke. “Had the best time on jkl!,” she tweeted on Wednesday from the set of her show. “I took the boob billboard and the cast and crews will love it! so funny!”
Another recent share on Twitter? On Tuesday, the actress posted a photo in which she appears without a stitch of makeup. Wearing a gray shirt and her hair down, her face glowed despite not using any cosmetic products on her famous face.
While she was all about her bare face in the photo, the star recently said she has no plans to share her exposed body on camera — ever. “I wouldn’t have done nudity, no,” she said while promoting the show at a press event. “That’s not something that I feel particularly comfortable with… I also think that it’s sexier not to show everything. I feel like imaginations can do way more.”
