Kaley Cuoco has welcomed a new member into her family. On Thursday, Dec. 7, the Big Bang Theory alum took to Instagram to introduce her followers to her new rescue dog, named Red.
Alongside heartwarming footage of the new addition, who appeared to be a chihuahua, Cuoco wrote, “I knew Red belonged in our pack, I was just in denial for a while.
At last here we are, and we love our newest senior family member, our expert drooler,” referencing Red’s tongue that hangs out from the side.”He also doubles as my heating blanket every night,” the Based on a True Story star said of her dynamic with the dog, adding, “he always sleeps right next to me. 🥹 Isn’t he so sweet?”
As Cuoco continued, she noted that her initial plan was to get Red adopted, highlighting her cause: “Dogs like Red are why I’m so passionate about building @ohnorman. We get to support rescues with every single purchase you make! ❤️”
Cuoco’s new addition to her pack—which includes several animals—comes almost seven months after she and partner Tom Pelphrey lost their dog Dump Truck. Back in May, Cuoco confirmed that her precious companion had passed away, writing on social media, “‘A dog is the only thing on earth, that loves you more than he loves himself.’
My sweetest Dump Truck, saying goodbye to you has deeply pierced my soul. You were with me during some of the hardest moments I’ve had in my life. You brought endless joy to everyone that met you, and kissed my nose when I needed it most. You were as special as it gets and I’m so grateful we found each-other.”
She ended the sad update with a request to her late dog: “Please tell [other late dog] Norman I miss him every day and will cherish you both forever.”
